Previously, the EU had sought to implement devastating tariffs on Chinese companies for supposedly skewing the European market with more supply and lower prices. In fact, the European Union is sending officials to Beijing for further talks to explore alternatives to tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles, according to a new report from Bloomberg. Reaching a deal to replace the new tariffs remains complex, with plans still in development but the two sides are examining a "price undertakings" agreement to regulate export prices and volumes as an alternative to tariffs. Additionally, “the change in total nonfarm payroll employment for August was revised down by 81,000, from +159,000 to +78,000, and the change for September was revised down by 31,000, from +254,000 to +223,000.
